Biography

Career Highlights

Jeff creates representational western bronzes as well as monumental bronze commissions.  Awards include the 2007 Cowboy Artists of America’s Award for Emerging Artist, Phippen art show, Prescott, AZ, as well as numerous other awards including best of show, first place sculpture, and others.  His works are in several prestigious collections, including the Pearce Collection of Western Art, in Corsicana, TX, and the Greeley Stampede in Greeley, CO.  Jeff sculpted a portrait bust of Charles Goodnight which is now on display at the Charles Goodnight Historical Center in Claude, TX. Jeff is an artist at Masterpiece Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.  Jeff has recently completed a sculpture of James Butler Bonham, a hero of the Alamo, commissioned by Texas governor Rick Perry. 

Education

Jeff has been an assistant to Bruce Greene, C.A., since 2001.  He also holds a Master's Degree in Education from Trinity University, San Antonio, TX, 1998.

Teaching

In his art teaching capacity, Jeff taught sculpture at the Western Art Academy in Kerrville, TX for 7 straight years, from 2005-2012, a month long, 6 day a week art scholarship program in conjunction with the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Art program, The Museum of Western Art in Kerrville, and Schreiner University in Kerrville.  Jeff has also taught adult and children’s sculpture workshops in his hometown of Cleburne, TX.

Lifestyle

Jeff, his wife Loren, and son Clayton, live on ten acres outside of Cleburne, Texas.  They enjoy a country lifestyle, owning several horses, dogs, cats, and chickens.
