Why a Portrait sculpture

Display options for a sculpture are many. It does not have to take up wall space and can be placed anywhere in a room or even outdoors. It can be displayed formally on a grand pedestal or intimately on a simple stand or table. It is not confined by a frame or border.  Because it occupies real 3-D space, it can be seen from all angles. It interacts with its environment, its highlights and shadows changing with the light source.

Durable bronze is of the highest quality. It is the material used throughout history by the most famous artists. Because of its durability, it can be displayed inside or out and can be touched and appreciated up close without fear of damage. In fact, it will last for generations, as evidenced by the many bronzes which have survived from antiquity. 

Multiple bronze castings can be made of the original clay sculpture. The first step in creating a bronze sculpture is for a durable, reusable mold to be made of the original clay sculpture. Using this mold, multiple bronze copies can then be created.
